• Menjangan is a small island located off the northwestern coast of Bali. Depending on water condition, the island is reachable within 30 – 40 minutes boat ride from the closest entry point. Due to its rich marine biodiversity, it is designated as a marine park and part of the West Bali National Park. Nowadays it has become a renowned spot for underwater enthusiasts either for scuba diving or snorkeling. The water is crystal clear and home to well-preserved coral reefs and colorful fishes. It has walls, drop-offs, sandy bottoms and its shallow reefs provide best snorkeling experience. Sighting of deer may also occur at the island for which the name ‘menjangan’ literally means (deer). Best moment is when they approach the water to cleanse their body and get rid of parasites.
• On the way back, stopover to visit the unique floating temple of Ulun Danu. It is set in the highland of Bedugul region approximately 1500m asl, atop a plateau that sits on lake Beratan. The temple was constructed in honor of Dewi Danu, goddess of the lake that was formed by a volcanic eruption dated back 30,000 years ago. It is considered as one of Bali’s most scenic and picturesque temple.
