• Menjangan is a small island located off the northwestern coast of Bali. Depending on water condition, the island is reachable within 30 – 40 minutes boat ride from the closest entry point. Due to its rich marine biodiversity, it is designated as a marine park and part of the West Bali National Park. Nowadays it has become a renowned spot for underwater enthusiasts either for scuba diving or snorkeling. Home to well-preserve coral reefs, visibility is mostly great almost year around. Current is generally mild and rarely a bother. It has walls, drop-offs, overhangs, underwater caves, sandy bottoms, shallow reefs and even an old wreck at 40 meters deep.
• By names, the popular dive sites include Pos 1, Pos 2, Garden Eel, Coral Garden, Cave Point, Temple Point and Anker Wreck. Sighting of deer may also occur at the island for which the name ‘menjangan’ literally means (deer). Best moment is when they approach the water to cleanse their body and get rid of parasites.
