HIGHLIGHTS
Lovina Beach is located 5 kms west of north Bali’s capital Singaraja. One main draw here is an early morning tour by local boat to see dolphins at open sea. A flock of dolphins will frequently appear early in the morning during sunrise before they are leaving to hunt. You can often see several different species but the dark-skinned spinner dolphin (Stenella longirostris) is the most frequently sited.
Hunting dolphins led local fishermen to areas with schools of sardines and mackerels, and a unique kind relationship between humans and dolphins developed over time. The cetaceans also joined in for a frenzy following the cast nets. Occasionally, they would breach the surface to check out on the action above. Nowadays, fishermen can take you on a ride to see their aquatic friends from up close.
Gitgit waterfall is located in the village of Gitgit around 10 kms south of north Bali’s capital Singaraja. It is among the most popular waterfalls in Bali, known for its height, the surrounding foliage and the natural swimming pool accessible through a 10-minute walking trail from main road.
Wanagiri Hidden Hill is a place to capture a fairytale Bali image in a spectacular natural back-drop setting. The park has bamboo platforms, bird nests and photogenic swings which dramatically overlook the lake with its natural foliage. If you are an instagram vivid, this place is a great spot to highlight and enjoy.
Ulun Danu Temple is set in the highland of Bedugul region approximately 1500m asl, atop a plateau that sits on lake Beratan. The temple was constructed in honor of Dewi Danu, goddess of the lake that was formed by a volcanic eruption dated back 30,000 years ago. It is considered as one of Bali’s most scenic and picturesque temple.
