6D/5N Komodo - Flores Overland

Upon arrival at Komodo Airport of Labuan Bajo, you will be met and transferred to the harbor to board the boat to Bidadari Island for relaxation on white sandy beach as well as swimming or snorkeling.

Your lunch is served on board while enjoying the beautiful panorama during the trip. Then cruise to Kelor island for snorkeling, swimming or just relax. You can do trekking to the hilltop of Kelor island to glimpse the most magnificent scenery.

Continue cruising to Menjerite for off-shore snorkeling. Afternoon cruising to Kalong island to witness the most amazing attraction where you will see thousands of fruit bats are flying out of mangrove forest while enjoying spectacular sunset. Dinner and overnight are on boat.

Early morning start hiking to the hilltop of Padar Island, enjoy the most spectacular view at sunrise. Continue cruising to Komodo Island the safari will start by half an hour walk (2 km) to Banunggulung to see the Komodo dragons in their natural habitat.

Komodo island is also home to wild animals such as deer, wild boar, and birds too, such as sulfur-crested-cockatoo, megapode and collared kingfisher.

A ranger will lead this safari. After trekking then depart to Pink beach which has pink-colored sand along its coastline. You can enjoy your lovely relaxation on the beach for sun-bathing, swimming, snorkeling as well as play around.

Lunch on boat. Afternoon cruising back to Labuan Bajo. Overnight and dinner at Komodo Lodge.

Breakfast at the hotel, the journey will continue with around 7 hours car drive to Bajawa through Ruteng with several stops.

One stop will be in Cara Village  to see the most amazing view over a number of impressive “lingko” spider-web rice fields on a small hill 17 kms west of Ruteng in Cancar.  Lunch will be served en-route. Arrive at Bajawa, check in to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, morning tour to Bena Village and traditional market. It is located about 16 kms from Bajawa at the foot of Mount Inerie. It is the most famous and most visited village in Ngada district.

The day will continue with a drive for around 4 hours by car. Lunch will be served en-route. At the city of Ende, we will visit the first Indonesian president Soekarno’s exile house. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Moni area.

The day will begin with a very early dawn-drive up to Mount Kelimutu to see its famous three-colored crater lakes.

It is probably the most amazing nature wonder in Flores. After being mesmerized by the beauty of Mount Kelimutu, you may return to Moni for breakfast at the hotel before leaving for another 4 hours car drive to Maumere.

There will be some stops in between, such as the Sea-Gypsy Village of Wuring, Ledalero which is the largest Philosophy and Theology Seminary in Flores with its museum, and the traditional villages of Nita, Sikka and Lela which are famous for their hand-weaving fabrics.

Lunch will be served en-route. Arrive at Maumere, check in the hotel for accommodation. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

After breakfast, drop-off transfer back to airport of Maumere for your onward flight.
