Bedugul – Jatiluwih – Tanah Lot

See best bits of Bali and enjoy a full-day-packed itinerary to visit some of Bali’s most instagrammable highlights including the royal temple of Taman Ayun, the floating temple of Ulun Danu in highland Bedugul, the UNESCO-listed Jatiluwih rice terraces and the beautiful Tanah Lot Temple during sunset. If you are holidaying with family or group of friends, this is a great option to enjoy time together.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Admire the magnificent architectural work of Taman Ayun Temple. Being a royal temple, its courtyard is largely communalized by fish ponds. The main shrine has a unique 11 overlapping roof levels called ‘meru’.
  • Ulun Danu Temple is set in the highland of Bedugul region approximately 1500m asl, atop a plateau that sits on lake Beratan. The temple was constructed in honor of Dewi Danu, goddess of the lake that was formed by a volcanic eruption dated back 30,000 years ago. It is considered as one of Bali’s most scenic and picturesque temple.
  • Explore and enjoy the natural beauty of Jatiluwih rice terraces. Located at the foot of Mount Batukaru, this region is listed as a UNESCO-site and considered to be the largest rice terraces in Bali. Depending on the season, the view is just like a flanketed-carpet of either green or golden yellow. It is a portrait of Bali rural life where rice-cultivation has been practiced for ages with its typical traditional ‘subak’ irrigation system.
  • Visit one of Bali’s most instagrammable temple of Tanah Lot. Perched on top of an off-shore little rock in Beraban village, this temple has a gorgeously stunning back-drop during sunset for which this tour is managed to get here in late afternoon. On high tide, it will dramatically look to float and on low tide you can walk ashore to see the rock closely.
